Giving to Flint Hill Farm Education Center is making an investment in the future. Every gift, no matter the size or purpose, can make an impact on the lives of future visitors to Flint Hill Farm.

Your kindness touches the lives of so many of our visitors, providing resources to help them understand and appreciate the importance of feeding the spirit, educating the mind, and preserving the community.

People Power and Trade Skills Needed:

• Afternoon animal feeders

• Carpenter/Handy person to repair overhang areas and shed roof

• Mason work to repair north wall of old barn and various stone work 

• Carpenter volunteer to do small repairs on outbuildings- horse run-ins

• Volunteers to work in dairy one morning a week to package cheeses for sale (8:00 AM - noon)

• We can't maintain water in the stone cistern. Does anyone know how to refurbish old wells?

Education and Administration Skills Needed:

• Volunteer once a week to assist in the office with Social Media blasts

• Volunteer skilled in creating educational media videos of milking, gathering eggs, woods walk, etc.

• Volunteer for phone outreach to area schools and community groups to set up Farm Tours for each season

• School tours guides for pre-k through 6 to work with seasoned tour guides - all orientation and training provided.

• Carpenter who would create a 2 hr basic carpentry class using our workshop for students 12-15 yr old. Payment to be discussed.

Tools, Construction, and Farm Supplies Needed:

• Pasture seed

• Four wheelbarrows - one or two wheeled 

• Latex or oil base barn red paint for outbuildings

• Four Pitch Forks - 2 metal pronged and 2 plastic shavings pitchforks

• One 8 foot sliding glass door for our new indoor mezzanine classroom

• One 5 foot set of French doors for our new indoor mezzanine classroom
